Sat 1st March 2008 - London RSI Awareness Day

RSI Action, now in its 2nd year, hosted this RSI Awareness Conference in London. The packed day of speakers included talks from employers, solicitors, medical professionals and RSI sufferers. There was International representation with Suparna Damnay, author of the popular book "It's not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!" and Ann Thomson from the Australian RSI & Overuse Injury Association. In keeping with the previous years' events it remained free to attend.

Sat 25th February 2006 - London RSI Awareness Day

Thanks to support from the Health and Safety Executive the RSI London support group held their biggest ever awareness day. Despite limited publicity over 200 people attended and we were lucky to have a fantastic range of speakers and exhibitors including Dr Bruce Lynn of UCL, whose pioneering research work gained much media interest a few years back. From the US, Suparna Damany, author of 'It's not carpal tunnel syndrome', did two presentations. The day was FREE to attend. Sat 26th February 2005 - International RSI Day

The RSI London support group once again held a one-day information and advice day at the Musicians Union in London. It was FREE for anyone interested in RSI and this year attracted over 100 people who participated in a range of seminars, taster treatment sessions and exhibits.

Fri 19th and Sat 20nd Sepetember 2003 - RSI Association Annual Conference

The 2003 RSI Association AGM and Conference was held at Congress House in London for the 3rd year running. It was a 2 day event for the first time with the Friday aimed at profesionals and the Saturday on Treatment and Recovery for RSI sufferers.

Sat 22nd February 2003 - International RSI Day

The RSI London support group held a one-day conference at the NUJ on Gray's Inn Road with exhibitors and guest speakers. Due to the positive feedback from this event there will be another next year. The Musicians Union (in Vauxhall - SW London) have kindly offered to provide the venue and it will take place on Sat 28th Feb 2004. Further details and a link to the planned new website will appear before Xmas.

28th September 2002 - RSI Association AGM

The RSI Association AGM and Conference was held again in London at the TUC Centre, Great Russell St. About 180 people attended and heard speeches from

  • Trevor Shaw, Registered Ergonomist and Head of Musculoskeletal, Ergonomics and Performance Section within HSE's Human Factors Unit.
  • Richard Southorn, Senior Information and Research Officer for The Employers' Forum on Disability.
  • Owen Tudor, Senior Policy Officer at the TUC responsible for prevention, rehabilitation and compensation.
  • and a particularly good talk from Dr Michael Hutson, Consultant Physician and President of the International Federation of Musculoskeletal Medicine.

28th February 2002 - International RSI day

The 28th February 2002 was the third International RSI awareness day. Formed out of an Internet newsgroup the aim is to promote awareness of RSI through the media around the world.

It is held on the last day of February, the only "non-repetitive" day on the calendar.
